Participants, including our team leaders, go through a Level 2 check which is a thorough check, so it will cover all the criminal databases - state, federal, and local - along with the FBI database and sex offender registries and they learn basic disaster preparedness and response skills, such as fire safety, search and rescue, and medical operations, to help their communities before, during, and after a disaster.
